Offer highlights:

  • Inspired by the works of Chekhov, ecosystems and belonging, the critically acclaimed experimental performance group Fevered Sleep presents ‘Above Me the Wide Blue Sky’ at The Young Vic.
  • This is the long-awaited follow up to 2010's ‘On Ageing’. Don’t miss your chance to see the beautiful exploration of love, home, loss and belonging.
  • With multi-media installations, prose poetry, chalk and light displays and a beautiful soundscape, this promises to be a noteworthy show.

More details:

After being told by a tutor “don’t expect anything good to happen for ten years,” David Harradine and Sam Butler continued to create ‘weird stuff’. Ten years later they saw success. ‘Above Me the Wide Blue Sky’ is an installation, performance, prose poem, elegy, song without tune and without music singing home, memory and loss. Supported by Arts Council England amongst others, it is the highly anticipated follow up to 2010’s ‘On Ageing’. Prepare to be transported to a world that looks differently at our landscapes and ecosystems.

The installation is open for an hour before and after the performance, so you're free to explore.
